Flotilla 6 Roaming Shores
Roaming Shores is the Flotilla name, but we meet in a Central Location for most of our members. We have members from Aurora Ohio, Ashtabula Ohio, Erie PA, Austintown Ohio, Youngstown Ohio and places in between. The meeting location is Bazetta Township Hall in Cortland Ohio the address is 3372 State RT 5 N.E. Cortland Ohio. We meet on the Second Thursday of Each Month. The Meeting time is 1930hrs ( 7:30 ) PM. In the summer we have meetings every other Month. The Month in between we have a Picnic on the same day as the meeting and a little earlier start time.
Flotilla 5-6 provides assistance to the boating public on Inland Army Corp of Engineers Lakes . (Berlin, Mosquito, West Branch) by doing Vessel Safety Checks, Public Affairs Programs, We do water safety programs at the lakes, and other Activites. All the man hours we put in at the Army Corp of Engineers Lakes we turn in our man hours to the Army Corp of Engineers at the Lakes they can turn in our hours as volunteer hours and receive funding for our efforts. We also do a lot of programs with the Scouts. Our Flotilla members is Erie do Vessel Safety Checks in Erie PA, and other activites. Our Flotilla Members in Ashtabula do Vessel Safety Checks in Ashtabula and other Activites. Our Flotilla also puts on Two to three ABS Safe Boating Classes a Year.
We are a volunteer organization staffed by people who care about safe boating, and to enhance our boating knowledge and skills and also have fun in between.
